I understood every word of that! As a nipper I remember my mum talking in Unwinisms occasionally.... ''ooh our Michael's been pukey milo of the sicky poo, on the kitchy florio, deep jolly oh yes'', etc, etc.

just thought of another - Cream's 'Mother's Lament', the kind of song that no modern rock band would ever do these days.
'Your baby has gawn darn the plughole'.
Can't imagine Coldplay or U2 doing something like that, can you...?

'Your baby has gawn darn the plug'ole, and won't need a barf anymoooowwwwaaa, the poor little fing was so skinny and fin, he should 'ave been barfed in a jug, in a jug...' hehe

Of course a cover of an Errol Brown classic. Heart-wrenching.

We seem a bit short of Beatles offerings........... Shall I start with Maxwell's Silver Hammer. McCartney describes the song as "An ode to the downfalls of life."

Harry Chapin's"Taxi",& it's sequel..."Sequel"!
IIRC there was to be a third song but he died tragically young
Many of Harry’s song told stories, that was his great strength.

Corey's coming, There only was one choice, Sniper, the list goes on and on.

One of my favourites is ‘The Stranger with the Melodies’.

Have we had Who are You by the The Who?

Recounts how Pete Townshend spent all day negotiating a new contract in New York (Tin Pan Alley) and felt like he'd sold out the band. Went to a bar and started drinking, who should walk in but Steve Jones And Paul Cook from the Sex Pistols and spent some more time telling Pete how great The Who are and what a legend he is - much more drink taken obviously. Pete goes to go home but passes out in a Soho doorway. Luckily a policeman recognised him and helped him to the subway and onwards to home.
