Surprised there's been no mention of Mr Kitty in this thread;

Also, peak Jennifer Connelly, which is nice

I love The Midnight so much.

New album due September, the new songs are exceptional, as is the retro advert https://youtu.be/S-U4MjWOeQ8

The new Midnight album has been out a week now, I've only listened to it twice, have they lost a bit of their magic?

Recently I've been enjoying Miami Nights 1984 and Dance with the Dead. Both instrumental synthwave, and just awesome.

Been listening to it since release and there are some decent stand-out tracks but it's definitely a different vibe from the earlier albums. 'Monsters' and 'Kids' took a while to grow on me too.

Overall I like it - I still think they're some of the best-produced and enjoyable retrowave out of the gaggle of bands that jumped on the bandwagon.

An artist I've recently found called Dreamkid has released this album recently, which is pretty good

Anyone else still loving synthwave in 2024?

Yep. I'd recently noticed some random youtube videos i had been watching had some great music on - turns out they were using some royalty free back ground music from someone called White Bat Audio. His own channel has some great playlists - some are a bit samey but I find theyre great to have on in the background when working late.
