Was in Nottingham as well and agree absolutely cracking. No freddie wasnt there and yes he was missed but adam lambert was fantastic and the applause he got from the crowd was thoroughly deserved.
I have never seen the arena so full and was so nice that freddies mother was there, never knew she lived in Nottingham.
Staying in the city for a while as slipknot on monday which might be a slightly different crowd!!

Saw them on Friday night at the NIA, Birmingham.
The show was absolutely stunning, epic and occasionally very poignant. Possibly the best concert I have ever been to, and I've been to hundreds since the 1970s.
It was only tainted by the fact that I bought a tour T-shirt (at full price) and promptly left it under my seat. Doh!

I was at the NIA on Friday too, it was fantastic (apart from BM's 15 minute guitar solo )
Hmmm...as a guitarist,I really appreciated the talent needed and difficulty of the solo, so I loved it. Everyone to their own, I suppose.Update on lost T-shirt: after a phone call and email, NIA posted it back to me after cleaners found it. Top marks, NIA!!

He obviously played something that resembled a guitar solo .... unlike the London gig [speaking as a guitarist].But great news about the t-shirt
