Best theraputic late night music
Discussion
My goodness the volume of replies is almost embarrassing.
Have now got a major job on my hands summarising all the music suggested & start searching & listening.
In fact the material suggested could well lead to my creating a new style of show with 100% emphasis on ambient soundscapes but NO pan pipes or whale sounds !!!!!
Furthermore I also need to create some CD's for the alternative physiotherapists at a hospice I also volunteer for. These sounds whilst tuneful must have NO triggers that might lead to awakening memories of past pleasures that could heighten awareness of a patients current plight.
And I thought Pistonheaders were just petrol heads.

FSOL - life forms
I used to make a lot of soundscape mixes and Dead Skin Cells was my goto track if I was struggling to fill them out I have pretty much all of the Bonobo back catalog. Nice and chilled.
Good call with Nightmares on Wax, I think I've got all his stuff. Very laid back groove.
Some great suggestions all around here. Smokers delight by nightmares on wax was one of my fave albums at one point. If there's anything on this thread to try other than the anotherlatenight/late night tales series, it's that. Bonobo are class. As are cinematic orchestra, the irresistible force, air, skalpel, st germain, loads of things. I remember when Radio 1 were bealing on about new sensation Royksopp beign so new, different etc and thinking "that's 1/2 of my CD collection in 1 album".
Sadly, over the years (assisted by 2 car break ins and 1 car fire), I've lost so many great CD's. Thanks to all the contributors in this thread - reminded me of what I've missed since becoming old ans sensible. You just cost me 80 quid on amazon, you buggers!*

- Of course,I mean this in the best possible way
