Gig plans - 2024
Discussion
Slamdunk (North) booked for May '24. Hopefully better organised than this year which was blighted by massive queues for grub... but I won't hold my breath.
Edited to add - Slamdunk tickets £98.65, 27 bands already announced (ominous rock number).

I toyed with the idea of Springsteen at Wembley in July, although I generally dislike big venues.
I got on the O2 Priority presale and was offered a seated ticket (somewhere, it didn't show a map to see if I was in the same postcode as the stage) for £175!
I booked for Echo and the Bunnymen at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth instead, much more my thing at a venue I like.

The Hives at Glasgow Barrowlands - great band in a great venue, they'll have the place bouncing.
Missed out on others that I really wanted tickets for inc. Foos at Hampden, in my old age I'm getting tired of sitting logged into Ticketmaster on various devices in huge queues trying to get tickets for them to sell out and appear for resale immediately at silly prices - the system is fked and Ticketmaster don't care as they get paid on the resale too!

The Stranglers, Manchester Apollo 15th March.
Well, presuming the tickets don't all sell out within a few seconds, and they're not really the kind of act where that happens.
Saw them back in March in Madrid, very good.Well, presuming the tickets don't all sell out within a few seconds, and they're not really the kind of act where that happens.
(Also saw them in 1992 in N. London, very good then as well!)
