Gig Plans - 2022
Discussion
Well I got back from Cardiff at 2.30 am. Long drive over the Brecons All I can say is, everyone needs to see Rammstein at least once in their lives. Utterly immense. So tired lol.
Oh and.....

Had I not been at Glastonbury I would have been at this Eagles gig in London with Mrs PT.
All kicked off in the the expensive seats.

According to comments on Angry People In Local Newspapers on FB this also happened in Liverpool, and also happened at an intimate Ocean Colour Scene Gig the other week.
All seems to be tied to people being forced into seats at venues in order to get the best view, but then wanting to access the bar as if they were in the standing area.
I must say I loathe these 'VIP' areas at gigs.

Incredible show. Won't pretend I'm an active fan of their music (not that I dislike it), but the show was amazing and incredibly well put together.Oh and.....

Aye, my lad and his mate drove up from Southampton.2 days off work, £500 hotel bill, £200 fuel bill... They're not to happy.
Rammstein were mega last night. Would go again like a shot if I could.
Not sure what the merch problem is though. Nothing for sale inside the venue, a massive queue outside for the official stand, and not enough stock according to one of the stewards I spoke to. Seems odd when bands need to maximize all and any income streams these days.
Interesting German mindset at work too. Other than techs uncovering equipment just before Rammstein went on, not a roadie to be seen on the stage from the time that the gates opened at 5, so everything was already ready, and nothing other than Rammstein music played over the PA or by the support act ladies!

You can buy the stadium specific shirts on Rammstein's website, but they charge 15 Euros for postage, which I couldn't justify. Not sure what the merch problem is though. I said earlier in the thread My Chemical Romance at Milton Keynes Stadium had a similar issue. Merch queue went around the stadium. I read something the other week about bands making most of their revenue from those sales, so quite why the organisation of the stands are so poor is beyond me.

I guess I was lucky in Coventry. Went straight to the merch stand when I got there just after 2pm. Only a handful of people, but thinking about it now it didn't look like they had a massive amount of stock. Not sure what the merch problem is though. Were you expecting other music to be played too?

There was merchandise for sale inside the stadium, it was pretty much opposite the stage, middle tier. The queue was also very large. Given how quiet the food and drinks concessions were I went to investigate what was at the front of the massive queue.Evanivitch said:
