Being almost 50 I did offset this with some classic Saxon "Wheels of Steel" whilst driving back in the MX5 this afternoon. My rapidly greying hairs were dancing in the wind.

sleepmakeswaves - Tundra
Saw them live a couple of weeks back. Great Aussie post-rock band more from the Russian Circles/p.g.lost mode than Mono.

Listening to this now on Bandcamp

Johnny Horton, I'm in a bit of a Rockabilly mood at the moment. The annoyingly catchy 'Sink The Bismarck' playing right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KecIdlEAKhU
This time yesterday I had Maiden blaring out, my taste's all over the place at the moment.

Skip to 2:15 to avoid the intro if you're not fussed for it. The musicians are all new for this tour - the chap behind Papas mask has been taken to court by their predecessors regarding the financial side of the business, I won't name them (Papa and the old members) but if you're fussed it's all easily found out with a quick internet search.

I watched a review of a (very) expensive reverb / delay guitar effects pedal on the Anderton's 'tube channel last night and they were rattling on about Devin Townsend.
Some further investigation this evening revealed stuff like this:-

I rather like this; heavy, but musical (if you know what I mean). Very chord-driven with no shredding. A bit like The Smashing Pumpkins with no odd Corgan solos.

Hmm, the wall of sound gets fatiguing after a while, but it is live and I found the studio version more musical. Will listen some more... Thanks. Some further investigation this evening revealed stuff like this:-

Out of interest, what was the reverb/delay pedal? (I had and sold a BigSky a few months ago. It was phenomenal, sounded huge and majestic, but started to make everything sound the same. I'm sure there were subtler reverbs in there somewhere!)
