Thought I might try and get a Springsteen ticket.
After a 10 minute wait I was offered a load of £X00 'packages'.
F**k that for a game of soldiers.
Probably for the best, though, as who wants to be standing half a mile away from the stage anyway...
Presumably all the normal reseller sites (private and commercial) will have plenty of tickets as usual though...

I got in early yesterday and picked up front standing tickets for Murrayfield for face value. Had a peek this morning for a mate and it is a mess. Nothing 'available' apart form hotel packages and 'premium' tickets for 3 times face value. Tickermaster seem to have lost their minds - Mind you, reports form the US sale overnight are even worse. I'd expect things to calm down, and plenty available for face value in the near future. After a 10 minute wait I was offered a load of £X00 'packages'.

same, managed to get front standing tickets from the o2 presale they had. I don’t know what’s going on with ticketmaster sales, these ‘premium tickets’ aren’t anything special/ vip/ early access. when I looked into it, these are just tickets that ticketmaster are selling on a ‘demand’ pricing. basically ticketmaster have decided because loads of people are trying to buy tickets we’ll just sell these ones for 3 times as much because…… profits! it’s really getting ridiculous trying to get tickets for big names/ events

Yes, seems the system has settled down now, but at £101 to stand up, I'll give it a miss anyway.I don’t know what’s going on with ticketmaster sales, these ‘premium tickets’ aren’t anything special/ vip/ early access. when I looked into it, these are just tickets that ticketmaster are selling on a ‘demand’ pricing. basically ticketmaster have decided because loads of people are trying to buy tickets we’ll just sell these ones for 3 times as much because…… profits! it’s really getting ridiculous trying to get tickets for big names/ events
I guess this is what 'big names' charge these days, but I'm not enough of a fan to pay that, with a £50 train fare and then food and drink on top.

Currently recovering from The Prodigy in Brum last night. Absolute carnage, drenched in sweat, battered and bruised
These were filmed by a lad who was by me, I couldn't fussed taking my phone out (language warning)..
I went to the Manchester show on Tuesday and it was incredible. It was like raving in a sauna but probably one of the best gigs I have ever been to, and I've seen them 3 times previous to this. The entire setlist was brilliant, they even played Break & Enter which I really did not expect! These were filmed by a lad who was by me, I couldn't fussed taking my phone out (language warning)..

Long been the case for the properly big bands, even metal where there's a stronger pull not to be seen to be too graspy. Passed on Metallica last time they came through town several years ago - £140 a pop for poxy Twickenham, so once we've had a few drinks and probably a cab home as the PT looks a cluster there it's a £400+ night out.I guess this is what 'big names' charge these days, but I'm not enough of a fan to pay that, with a £50 train fare and then food and drink on top.

Same band last week headlining NOS alive in Lisbon last week, 2+hr set, €65. Mansplain that one to me.
Prodigy @ Brixton tonight, glad it's cooled a bit!
Saw Sting last night at the Paleo festival in Switzerland - superb set and amazing energy from a 70 year old.
His band are astoundingly talented too.
Rag N Bone Man was on earlier that night too. Also a great performance, especially his 3 backing singers. All exceptional and worthy of headlining themselves.
Tonight's lineup was a very different mix. Mainly French bands I'd never heard of, but some pleasant surprises. Dub Inc, for example, were well worth watching.
DJ set was pretty decent -

Haha awesome, yes it was unbelievably hot! Previous 2 times I saw them was at the Arena, I honestly prefer the Academy for a gig like this, it just feels more hectic and wildS100HP said:
Was supposed to be going to Reading for Rage......now it's the 1975 headlining......
Scandalous! There is some (ahem) proper rage on the Reading & Leeds Facebook page about it, specifically them not offering Sunday day ticket refunds. Yeah, I know the T&Cs allow it, but it's not really cricket is it? Melvin Benn has proper dropped a bk there.
We live just up the road, I'm a 20yr veteran of Reading, but stopped going 2yrs ago as (at 50) I'm way out of the demographic now, and it's all gone a bit V Festival for my liking.
A real shame, I was front row for Rage when they played last time, it was bloody brilliant, although somewhat sweaty.
As a side note it's a bit st that Zach has supposedly injured his leg, but they've cancelled the whole Euro tour for him to recover, but are still fulfilling their US dates. It's almost a case of "fk You I Won't Do What You Tell Me (Unless You Have Very Expensive US Lawyers)"
Agree with the above. I went in 2000 and 2001 I think, it was a proper metal/rock festival then. Slipknot, System of a down, Marilyn Manson etc. I went back in 09 too I think, when Rage played, and was purely going this year just for them. It's all got very safe. Maybe I'm just getting old but I don't really know any other bands playing, and the ones I do know are very middle of the road poppy stuff. It used to be so good too.
i honestly cannot believe it, i’ve had guns n roses, red hot chilli peppers and now rage against the machine all cancelled on me at short notice this summer, to say i’m gutted is an understatement
At least rage had the decency to just ‘cancel’ so I’ll get a refund asap from ticketmaster. but guns and chillis are saying ‘postponed’ and we have to wait for the new date before we can accept the new date or get a refund. i’m currently (personally) waiting on £600 worth of tickets being refunded, and also owe £800 to mates for tickets i’ve booked for them. absolute sh!t show of a summer

Saw Orbit Culture and Sylosis at Knotfest. There were half a dozen other bands on earlier but couldn’t get there in time. Was like a sauna and half of digbeth being shut made getting there a real faff. Epic night though, probably one of the best gigs I’ve been to for my particular taste! If you like the heavy stuff then well worth it. Will be keeping an eye to see if they run another one next year, only cost £28 too.
