Out of interestm where do you lot find your gigs?
I follow my favourite venues on twitter which is always good for early announcements.
I cant much that appeals to me at the minute.
Most of mine are support bands who have then gone on to headline and then the big ones that i follow on facebook.I follow my favourite venues on twitter which is always good for early announcements.

In the next few months most the bands i'm seeing are around £7 a ticket , if i go and it's st what's £7 ( they never are st just mediocre at worse)
I'm paying £10 to watch 2 american pop punk bands with a 3rd brit band, how the hell does it pay the bills for the American bands beats me.
Finding gigs? Follow the artist on social media, regularly check local websites that list upcoming events and also check venues that I know host music I like.
Tonight I am seeing Coheed and Cambria for the 5th time (Download '06, Cardiff SU '08, '13, Hevy '15) at Cardiff SU, support from Glassjaw and Crooks.

They'll be running their own merch, and usually sleeping on the floors of whoever will put them up.In the next few months most the bands i'm seeing are around £7 a ticket , if i go and it's st what's £7 ( they never are st just mediocre at worse)

So far,
Lianne La Havas @ De La Warr Pavilion Bexhill
Yuck @ Boileroom Guildford
Would have liked to have seen Public Service Broadcasting @ Brooklyn Bowl Greenwich too, but cannot make the date.
As for finding gigs, I use an app called 'Songkick'. It can notify you of any artist you choose, scan the music on your device, scan Spotify etc. Some gigs you can buy tickets through the app too. In short, it's great.

Massive Attack were very good on Saturday, enjoy
I saw them on Sunday and came away a bit unsure, seem them a couple of times before (on Mezzanine tour 1998 and Bestival which were great) but just felt something was missing this time. Maybe it was having politics rammed down my throat that did it but come Monday I'd totally forgotten I'd been.Got to say though Horace Andy's vocals are still excellent and Young Fathers were as good as ever live.

Massive Attack - tonight at Brixton
Rudimantal - March, avoided o2 and opted for Birmingham as smaller venue.
Leon Bridges - April, saw him last year and it was a really enjoyable show so thought i'd have another go.

April:
Muse in Manchester
Muse in Glasgow
June:
Download Festival
Hellfest Open Air (France)
August:
Iron Maiden in Luxembourg
Possibly a day ticket to the Leeds Festival if the final headliner is worth a watch
November:
Bring me the Horizon in Glasgow, this makes me sad as I hate them but my girlfriend loves them
Went to the Carnival of Madness Tour in Glasgow three weeks ago, Black Stone Cherry, Halestorm, Shinedown and Highly Suspect - t'was excellent. Also had tickets to see Saxon in Aberdeen but they cancelled the gig.

from last November: I've ordered my first Stranglers ticket for March, at Manchester Apollo, same place I first saw them in 1983.
And still haven't received it yet. Whereas the one I ordered three weeks ago for the same band in Liverpool arrived the other day.Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
