Mike Patton replacing Chuck Mosley in Faith no More.
yes Patton is a monster vocalist with an epic range

But to follow along from the original post, The Cure once Reeves Gabrels joined.

Sabbath with Dio were better than with Ozzy
I'd agree that Dio was a better vocalist than Ozzy and could hit notes that Ozzy wouldn't be able to get near, but for me, having seen both versions of the band, no line-up could ever be better than the original Sabbath members. With regard to Dio, I actually thought Tony Martin not only sounded amazingly like Dio, but was actually better than Dio.

Motörhead were immeasurably better when Fast Eddie and Philthy joined.

Megadeth with Marty Friedman.
Christ, yes

Marty's work on Rust In Peace and Symphony of Destruction is astonishing. In Hangar 18 he does a 12 bar solo in using an Eastern scale pattern that is breathtaking.

One Hot Minute is such a great album.
One Hot Minute is the best album. It's the only one that doesn't sound like this:

It might be their last album that doesn't sound like that, but it's certainly not the only one.

Nope the 1st drummer was Chad Channing. He drummed on Bleach and Incestiside.

Gloryhammer - their new singer and album are on a par, if not better than their former singer who they fired after the leaked group chat controversy.

Obviously, some of the remaining members (including the founder) didn't come off well in those chats, but the former singer's comments were the ones I was most concerned about. I would see them again now.

Wouldn't it have been marvellous if the first 6 albums had Dio or Martin on vocals....

Slipknot when they replaced Anders Colsefni with Corey Taylor.

I was thinking about this the other day, When Ian Curtis committed suicide, the remaining Joy Division members reformed into New Order with Bernard Sumner taking over from Curtis. if IC hadn't of died, I can imagine JD being one of them bands that did 1/2 more albums then fizzled out. But no NO, so I think JD/No are an example for this thread?

I'm not sure that would have been the case, JD appeared to be going in that direction if you listen to some of the later music as well as the obvious Ceremony track. That said I can't quite imagine Ian Curtis doing World in Motion...
