No Bob ain't British, he sure was black though. One of the posts above said Billy Ocean was the world's biggest selling black artist. I was responding to that.

Smiley Culture must have sold more than Billy Ocean. Linky to P/H related nostalgia. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jOjZKDoo08

I can't believe he's outsold Bob Marley either.
Is Bob classed as British?
Probably not, but then again he must be classed as blackwink

Just out of curiosity, Billy Ocean being born in Trinidad, how come he's classed as British?
Move here when a child. I'm guessing has a British passport etc.

Always made me laugh that her image was upper class and sophisticated...

Yet she comes from Clacton on Sea!

Now I'm really confused, Sade was born in Nigeria to a English mother and Nigerian father, she moved to UK at age 4. Billy Ocean was born in Trinidad to Grenadian parents, moved to UK at age 8.

Billy is considered British, but Sade is not? confused x2

No not having a laugh. Deadly serious.

In my encyclopedia it says 27 million for Sade this was in 2000.

Only link I have is on wiki after a quick google. Which says over 50 million. So not sure exactly how many. As she had a release in 2000 and 2002.

As for Billy Ocean is there some figures on his sales?
