i honestly cannot believe it, i’ve had guns n roses, red hot chilli peppers and now rage against the machine all cancelled on me at short notice this summer, to say i’m gutted is an understatement

At least rage had the decency to just ‘cancel’ so I’ll get a refund asap from ticketmaster. but guns and chillis are saying ‘postponed’ and we have to wait for the new date before we can accept the new date or get a refund. i’m currently (personally) waiting on £600 worth of tickets being refunded, and also owe £800 to mates for tickets i’ve booked for them. absolute sh!t show of a summer
Talking of cancellations/postponements... booking tickets yesterday for Hot Water Music / Boysetsfire / Samian & BeWell at Camden's Electric Ballroom for October there was an option of taking a cancellation "insurance" of £1.85 (per ticket obvs) - first time I'd seen that. I didn't take it (I only want to see two of the support bands anyway & the ticket's £27.50).

Me too. I have put my ticket up for sale but I get the feeling I'm going to get tucked up...
My mate got a full refund via Ticketmaster. He used their online contact portal, it took a while for them to respond -,he thought they were just cold shouldering him - but yesterday got an email confirming the refund. Worth a try on the basis that the main act has cancelled. I suspect Melvin has told TM to quietly allow this to save a bit of reputational damage, even though if they hardball the T&Cs they are probably not obliged to.

Booked for First Aid Kit @ Cambridge Corn Exchange in December.

Bought on the basis of enjoying their set at Glastonbury (from my sofa).

My friend went to that. Whilst she said it was good, 70
quid for a hour and a quarter seems a bit steep?

(Although they apparently finished early because of the tube/train strike?)

No complaints from me on either count, worth every single penny and yes they started early and finished early...probably suited the audience demographic perfectly.

They've never been known for doing Cure length sets so 75 minutes is about right, no filler and definite less is more.

Just a heads up to anyone that’s in the same boat waiting on guns n roses/ red hot chilli peppers dates being rescheduled for glasgow. you don’t need to wait for the new date to be announced to be request a refund!!

ticketmaster say they will let you know when the gig is rescheduled and you can request a refund then if it doesn’t suit…… but you can just request one any time if the gig has been rescheduled! they don’t exactly publicise/ shout about it, but i was bored of waiting for new dates and would rather have my £500 back!

Just bought tickets for Muse in Huddersfield next June. I don't normally do big stadium gigs, much prefer small intimate venues but I've been wanting to see them for years. They put on a memorable show I'm told. I love a lot of their back catalogue and they are known for playing their popular tracks no matter what album they are promoting. I've also wanted to see Royal Blood for some time too. Fell off the boil after their immense debut but can't wait for what should be a great night of rocking music. Just need to book a camp site near by for my mate and I to rock up in our vans.

One I suspect very few of you will know, but a band I adored back in the day - The Electric Boys. Looking forward to it, tiny local venue. 33 years I've waited for this one biggrin
Well this did not age well....

Tuesday night, went upstairs for a shower and to get ready for this gig. Put the wash basket containing the iron back on top of the wardrobe in the spare room where it lives, iron fell and hit me point first in the head. Lots of blood and one mild concussion later, I didn't actually make it..
Scared the life out of my other half who came in to find me sat dazed on the floor in a pool of blood. When he finally established I was reasonably ok he said:
"When you said you were going up to straighten your hair this wasn't what I had in mind"
biggrin

33 years and I'm still waiting. Bugger.

I'm good ta. Nice fat egg and a bruise, a good telling off from HWMBO on my choice of places to store an iron and my headache is finally easing.
Bloody gutted though.

Just bought tickets for coldplay for the Thursday night in Manchesterin June next year
Hadn't thought where in Manchester just assumed the main arena.
Anyway after being robbed on tickets £900 for 2 tickets to be in an area I can only hope we can see from
Section 128, Row W
Tried finding it on the Google map images. Looks closish to stage but potentially very side on. Let's hope we're bias to the side of section 128 from the stage.

Tried to book city centre hotel all prices taking the mick.
So booked well out at what looks like a very nice country pub.
Got lucky as I then realised its at the Etihad stadium so nearer the hotel than first thought.

Still can't help thing prices are a rip off.
Likely £7m on the gate for the night alone. No doubt they live a happy life lol

I've done the Etihad a couple of times, Metallica being the last pre covid. Within walking distance is a little industrial estate that rents out their car parking spaces. You can book them on line. I think it was about £25 from memory.

You made the right choice though as trams away from it are mental. Best advice if you did go that route would be to go away from city center for a couple of stops, hop off, then pick up a tram back, thus beating the melee.

Joined the Coldplay queue at 9.30am and by the time they opened the sales at 10am I was position 280,000+ in the queue! Actually got through to the website to purchase at 1pm by which time they had all gone.

Luckily, I saw on Twitter that the Big Green Coach Company had ticket and coach travel packages available, so managed to get 2 standing tickets at face value (£105 each) plus 2 return coach transfers from Warrington which was the cheapest option at £33 each. Don't really need the coach transfer, but a £33 premium for the standing tickets wasn't too bad as opposed to not going at all.

Cold Play at Wembley was good last Sunday - after many years of bringing up children and not going to big stadium gigs I was amazed at the quality of the sound, well, except Stormzy.

Chose to invest in parking the week before and that was a master stroke - arrived a bit late and all the levels in the car park were full. They put us in on the edge of the coach parking area, so when we came out it was yards to the exit and no queue so straight out and round Ikea before the majority started filling the roads.

Saw The Interrupters at Rock City on Tuesday.
The band and the crowd were both on top form, and the sound was brilliant. Was my first time seeing them, won't be the last.
