Techno techno techno techno!
Discussion
I just wanted to jump on and say that I just found this thread amongst the various threads in the Music sub-forum and never knew there was a techno thread. I have recently been listening to some of the tracks in the earliest pages and they are fantastic.
Some of the tracks remind me of the very earliest that I heard as I was getting into this music back in the late 80's and early 90's. I really didn't know that some of these tracks were now on Youtube of all places, a video resource for music that has no video. Whatever next.
I have some tape recordings from the early days, generally recordings from Dance Nation off of Sky Sports audio channel 6, and Pete Tong and John Peel off of Radio1, but nothing I've thought to post anywhere. I just make them from my archive recordings on cassette or DAT to wav for my own enjoyment.
I just listened to a few tracks from the most recent page on here and it seems you are posting tracks that are more like gabber, 150 bpm plus and all that. I think I prefer the early 90's sound and pace when all said and done. Let's see what I find as I progress through the thread and I shall see whether I have any tracks I can add to the thread that have not already been posted. I could always post some of my own Bass2 tracks, let's see...
Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve, it is a good thread going on here isn't it. Please do post up some of your favourites or own material because I am enjoying exploring some stuff from others that I have not heard before.
