Saw Samantha Fish in Brighton last Tuesday, first gig I've been to in ages. Good venue, Chalk, just off the seafront near the East pier, and the beer was £5.60 a pint, which was nice.

new venue for me tonight, going to see Gabriels at HERE at Outernet in the West End of London on Charing Cross Road.

https://hereldn.com/

they have some interesting (to me) acts coming up

first gig for a few weeks after being at a dance festival in Malta and then Amsterdam for ADE; so busy but not 'live' music

What could possibly have attracted you to this hot blonde rock guitarist!? hehe

Immediately acquainting myself with her back catalogue on Apple Music!

ETA: I see she's playing Shepherd's Bush Empire tonight. If I wasn't already on a three gig week I'd have gone along, I like what I hear .... a kind of Seasick Steve bluesy guitar, but considerably easier on the eye!

Well, I was first attracted to the American blues guitarist Samantha Fish by her version of War Pigs, you know, the track by the obscure British rock group Black Sabbath.

And I thought it was such a glorious racket that I'd better check out some of her other stuff, which led me to bh on the Run..

etc, etc

As my mate Alan said, 'She's the perfect woman' hehe

Alas, Ian Gillan's voice isn't what it once was. Enjoyable gig, just not great.

On a space related theme I've just booked to see The Australian Pink Floyd doing Dark Side Of The Moon 50th anniversary show at Reading Hexagon next Thursday night. I've seen Aussie Floyd a few times, their show really is rather spectacular.
See you there!!
Did you enjoy it? I thought they were spectacular, although it seems their website is a little misleading, it was the 'All That's To Come' show (effectively Greatest Hits) as opposed to DSOTM50, which is throughout Europe for all of Feb & March 2023. Hopefully they'll bring that to the UK.

I don't see anything wrong with discussing tribute bands on the thread, if they are decent. This lot have been going for 30yrs and famously were invited to play David Gilmour's 50th birthday party by the man himself, so if that's not an endorsement I don't know what is! hehe

Saw Simply Us and Them at Pizza Express live on Wednesday night. I’ve seen them as Simply Dan a few times before. They were, as usual, utterly brilliant and a fantastic, intimate venue. Going back in December to see them as Simply Dan.

Got tickets to see Hollywood Vampires next summer in Scarboroughs open air theatre.
Managed to buy presale so for a change I didn't pay a premium.
I did resist the VIP backstage meet and greet with Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and the rest of the band. At £1300 per person it was just a bit steep.

Pretty Reckless were awesome, what a voice on the lead singer, exactly like the studio tracks. I took a few photos which I’ll put up tomorrow as I’m just in the door.

Just added a very impromptu gig. Myself and Miss Badger are off to San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday and randomly noticed Trivium are playing at the Aztec Theatre literally a 1 minute walk away from our hotel on Saturday 5th Nov. Booked seating tickets (at the behest of Miss Badger, as it's not her type of music) so will be enjoying that followed by a trip to the Howling at the Moon bar nearby afterwards smile

If you haven't seen them before, they are tremendous live. I'm a bit of a Trivium fanboy I have to admit but have seen them multiple times and always left happy, enjoy!
