Yatch Rock documentary on BBC4.
What is YR ? Adult Rock by male artists singing about their emotions with a touch of honesty and openess. Started in the mid seventies with bands like The Doobie Brothers, Seals and Croft, Eagles, Steely Dan and Hall and Oats. Who Knew?

Very good documentary though with 80's YR tonight.

Well, the first doc is about YR in the 70's and the second is about YR in the 80's. Couldn't be clearer. Thr term Yatch Rock was coined in 2010, so is a retrosprectve genre.musicscratchchin

Sailing by Christopher Cross was the first song of YR. Soft Rock and released in 1980.

Have you actually seen the documentary. ? Contradiction does not work as I'm only quoting what I saw.
No. I will.

Agree with darreni, and also with Patch. Saw them play the whole album on the Love Tour as they passed through Sydney about 12 years ago - fun night - but I also prefer Sonic Temple.

Anyway, slightly sideways of that, Beth Orton "She Cries Your Name"
