What a great idea, a guitar my dog can see, as it looks the same in black and white.

But as I don't have a dog, I'll stick to honeyburst, heritage cherry, tobacco etc.
No need to apologise to me what you like and dislike Stan, c'mon now why would you think your opinion of a picture
of a guitar would cause me any offence? thumbup

Yes it definitely is a marmite one but I have all the others you mentioned as well Kev so can pick and choose, sure I will
have something for everyone.

Or maybe you would prefer something from the Ibanez room beer

This is my 15th GLP, had intended to call it a day with them but when I saw this one there was no way I wasn't having it,
a picture doesn't do it justice at all, having it in hand shows an amazing array of movement in the flame, its almost like
a Northern lights effect, she's called Aurora biggrin .

That has an incredible top, very nice indeed.

Really like this, reminds me a lot of the short lived Gibson Blackwater LP, which was the Chad Kroger (he of Nickelback shame...) Sig Model.

They had a great spec though... Piezo bridge and great neck profile.

That is luvverly. I need a semi acoustic in the collection. Don't think the budget would stretch that far though!

What aren't you liking about?

Don't trade it, you'll lose a fortune.

Maybe case it for a while and get it back out in a month or two.

Usually works for me!
Just not enjoying it... Let's see what happens. smile

I have two ES135s, both picked up for less than a grand, one with P90s and one with 'buckers. Lovely things.

My collection is looking increasingly like that I've currently got about 10-12 around the house. I must have had about 50-60 guitars over the past 10 years. Currently I've got a Gibson SG Special, 2 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Black/Gold and Black/Chrome both upgraded with Gibson USA pickups, 2 Epiphone Les Paul Standard, one with Gibson PAF. Then I've got a Fender Mexican Strat with USA Stratocaster Pickups which was the first guitar I bought when I was 13 in the early 2000's . A Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster with a Gotoh bridge and USA Soapbar Pickups and electrics and pots from a late 60's model , 2 Epiphone acoustics, one electro, a Fender Precision Bass 'Triggers Broom' it's had new electrics, USA pickups and an Allparts neck and I don't think the body is even the original it left Mexico with.

Then I've got 2 Hofner Senators a 1958 and a 1962 which are at my parents. Oh and a late 90's Epiphone basher I bought for £15 at a garden sale.

I've often been told that if I sold all my SG and Epiphone Les Pauls I'd probably have enough for a Gibson Standard or maybe a ropey Custom. Then again a mate had a Gibson Les Paul Custom he paid £2700 for which got nicked. It wasn't insured and all he got was a crime reference number. So my thinking is that if someone nicked my Epiphone I could easily replace it with another for a few hundred quid and spend another hundred on a set of Gibson pickups. It's 99% of the sound but about 10% of the cost to replace. Which is good enough in my book. Probably best to stick to guitars and not get into my amplifiers and pedals.

Fair enough, just don't part exchange it, sell it privately and get what it's worth.

I used to hate the prices we'd give out when we took stuff in exchange.

Thats a nice little studio you've set up there bud. Bet your neighbours love it toobeer
Luckily we're detached and the neighbour nearest us also plays in an occasional band with me too. He tells me he can't hear me playing. However I might have to swap the snare back to the standard TD30 one though as the one I'm using makes more acoustic noise (it's basically a 14" with a mesh head on it, so does a prominent 'bong' with each hit). More for my wife's sanity though as I can't really hear it with headphones on...just sounds like a normal snare to me.

Anyone got a grail guitar and decided it's not for them? My Jem 20th will be traded away when the stores reopen... Bit gutted really. I wanted it forever, but just not enjoying it.
I’ve never really bonded with my PRS CU24. On paper it’s my ‘best’ guitar (artist spec, wood library top, etc) but I just don’t think it has mojo and I live in fear of dinging it.

I much prefer my Am Std Strat, my (slightly upgraded) MiM Thinline Tele and my slightly battered LP Jr style Gordon Smith.

PRS Santana, Epiphone Les Paul Ultra and Ibanez S series with modded pickups. The Ibanez is a lovely thing.
