I have a question about Stu's solo - I'm convinced part of it was Led Zepp's 'Going To California' - did I imagine this??? or was it something very similar sounding?

Very good gig last night at Hammersmith thumbup Not a fan of Paul Gilbert but whatever song he closed on was music!

The surprise good 'uns from Satch were Ghosts and Andalucia. And yes I was blown away by One Big Rush cloud9

Only moan is if you want to drink do it at home - I'm there to watch the gig not to have to make way for all the numpties who seem that unless they had a constant flow of beer they'd keel over irked

It wasn't just me who had morons close by then. I had to politely ask them that if they wanted to just get pissed and talk loudly, perhaps they should go to a pub shoot

The gig seemed so amateurish during the PG set that I was pretty darn disappointed. As much as I enjoy Racer-X (especially Second Heat) and Mr. Big, PG trying to be virtuoso just seems to be shred with little composition or musicianship. Those tiny Marshalls weren't really good enough for the venue either. Things improved drastically when he did finished with the handful of Mr. Big and Racer-X songs with vocals from the bassist.

Satch came on and I was blown away. The difference in stage presence, sound quality and TONE was unreal. What a quality set that was!

Highlight for me had to be Andalusia. There was also a stunning ballad I'd not heard before with a singing vibrato.

Agree with previous sentiments about people continually getting up to buy drinks, way to spoil it for others you twits.

Notts last night too, was a really good gig. Surprised by The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, wasnt expecting that!!

We were at the back, and seemed a little lifeless in terms of crowd atmosphere, maybe our lot could have done with a few drunks to liven it up! Seemed to be rocking down the front. Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu's solo was excellent! The new album stuff is much better live than on record IMO

Was there at Hammersmith Tuesday - completely agree PG was a tad underwhelming, but Mr S came on and all was forgotten as he blasted us with loads of good stuff. I've been listening to JS for about 17 years but that was my first gig and I loooooooovvvved it - felt liek i was surfing with the aliens by the end!!

I bumped in to my cousin friday night, he was at the gig and had a Club Joe ticket, so he got to meet him before the gig.
Said he was a really nice bloke and happily posed for photos and signed stuff. Then he casually drops in to the conversation "oh it's a shame, if I had of known you were going you could of had my spare ticket to meet him". Gutted.
