I managed to get a ticket to see The Almighty on the 2nd December at Kentish Town. Can’t wait, never thought they would get the classic line up back together for just 3 gigs.
I’m going on my own as well, which actually I don’t mind as I tend to havevv BBC s different taste on music to my friends, I can go up, have a few beers in the pub round the corner and get in there. No one knows or cares that you are on your own anyway!
Bit further up the road but worth the walk, Southampton Arms is a treasure,no mainstream drink I’m going on my own as well, which actually I don’t mind as I tend to havevv BBC s different taste on music to my friends, I can go up, have a few beers in the pub round the corner and get in there. Anyone else go to see Queens of the Stone Age last night? Or have plans on this tour?
I thought it was excellent. Josh seemed in good health and his voice sounded a lot better than at the Taylor Hawkins tribute (perhaps due to his cancer treatment).
Really enjoyed the set too. Amazing finish with Song for The Dead, and Jon Theodore easily comparable to Dave Grohl on that track.

Going tomorrow in Bournemouth and can't wait!I thought it was excellent. Josh seemed in good health and his voice sounded a lot better than at the Taylor Hawkins tribute (perhaps due to his cancer treatment).

Last minute stress though, it was just the two of us going and the friend has pulled out due to work. Trying to find someone to go with so I'm not flying solo!

Sure you’ll be fine on your own once there. Or you could try the QOTSA subreddit.

Picked up a last minute ticket for QOTSA at Bournemouth... another sad sack flying solo - so Miocene if you fancy a beer/partner in crime, send us a message.
Bit gutted recently, missed Will Haven, Electric Wizard and Chat Pile - will miss Decapitated and Sleaford Mods in December as have works Xmas bash!
Has anyone seen British Lion (Steve Harris from Maiden) live - playing Bournemouth in January, but unsure...

I can only apologise, completely missed this, but I hope you had a great time at the gig!Bit gutted recently, missed Will Haven, Electric Wizard and Chat Pile - will miss Decapitated and Sleaford Mods in December as have works Xmas bash!

As presumably you're local to me (I live where electric wizard are from) and saw Will Haven the last couple of times they played in Bournemouth, so sounds like we have similar tastes!
Went to see Nothing But Thieves last night at the Apollo. Excellent gig. They've done 3 sold out gigs there over the last month and I believe the singer had some issues at the last one. No problems last night though.
I like the Apollo, but bar prices are now a bit silly. Pint of lager + G and T = £17. Glad I had a few next door in the Apsley before going in.
Got tickets for Dirty Honey next Feb and Slash in April.
Dirty Honey are excellent live, if you like that sort of music.

The Prodigy last night at the AO Arena Manchester. They came on a bit late but when they opened with Breathe the crowd erupted. Standing area was a 2000 people mosh pit. Sadly I was up in tier 1 and couldn't join in the energetic fun. Amazing gig.
Seeing them on Thursday in Brum, will be the third time (second without Keith) - very excited!smithyithy said:

Unfortunately I'm in seated this time whereas I was standing when I saw them last. Also Keith was there so will be intresting to see if they still have the same energy
