One of the cracking tracks on the soundtrack of High Fidelity, Dry the rain by the Beta Band.

John Cusack films of this era always had some great music.

Testing a DAC out, so going thorough a mixed bag from Natalie Cole to:

Synthadelic -- I'm A Secretary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeRHwyyDwKc

I wonder how well Depeche Mode's Work Hard would cut into it.

https://www.discogs.com/release/231354-Synthadelic...

The producer and one of the writers was Pete Namlook. I had no idea, I have lot of his output and this is a tad different.

Ave Maria sung by Pavarotti has to be one of the best things in universe…. It is a real shame he had to be tortured in such a manner along with the whole orchestra and audience.

My BiL introduced me to this

Anyma ft Meg Myers - Running

https://youtu.be/ZoA_VovZUrg

Currently playing volume much to my Bengal’s dismay as he’s now biting me! Also Alexa thinks the way I say Anyma sounds like Olly Murrs furious

Caught up with the chap who was my best friend until, I was 18 and went to Uni, we sort of drifted apart and had very different lives. Dropped in to see him just randomly as I didnt have his phone number.

It was good to see him and he has arranged for us to go and see the Specials in June (he is Terry Hall's nephew, so we get the full VIP treatment, back stage passes etc)

Thought I had better catch up on the music, as a 15, 16, 17 year old we used to see them all of the time.

Also an excuse to play some vinyl
