Well I did it, couldnt resist, splashed out on a yngwie ovation.Glad I did, you can see where the money has gone, real quality guitar, quite weighty and that 5 piece neck feels fantastic, rock solid & a great width.
The scalloping is interesting, not really played it a lot yet, but it does feel good, perfect size for strumming lying on the bed etc..top marks to ovation on this one, love it
I am liking muchly. Never played a guitar with a scalloped fretboard like thatThe scalloping is interesting, not really played it a lot yet, but it does feel good, perfect size for strumming lying on the bed etc..top marks to ovation on this one, love it

Top could be a Melody Maker "V" or Explorer, headstock is too small for a "real" V, and it's got the MM tuners. The other? The shape is similar to a Firebird, but every proper Firebird doesn't have such a prominent nipple on the lower part of the headstock near the nut. So no idea.
Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded. Great guitar considering they are only £6-700 quid ish. Machine heads were terrible though and I had to get them replaced as they were not keeping the guitar in tune. Lovely creamy chunky sound from the guitar as you would expect.
Jackson KE3 Kelly. Mid spec Jackson that I've had for ages. Nicely setup and miles easier to play than the baseball bat Gibson, unsurprisingly. Good for fast stuff, and passages that require tighter playing. Love the look of it and bought it because Marty Friedman used them in Megadeth at the time!
Marshall JCM 800 2204 50 watt single channel. Sold the black one though. Great sound if you like a classic 80s hard rock/metal sound. ie Accept - Balls to the Wall.

So, I traded 3 Charvels plus a wad of cash for something much uglier. I think it's quite rare, but it plays like an absolute demon so I can overlook the paint
Anyway, here are some pics:

A UV777MC is my dream guitar, so the 6 string brother is worth a huge thumbs up from me.Anyway, here are some pics:

^Hah! I can only imagine. I've got a Lazy J combo on order from April this year. Jesse has got around to building it just now. He says it'll be ready in another week or so. This final week's wait is much harder than the previous six months! LOL!
Really liking that acoustic and the YJM strat. I've never played a scalloped fretboard. I would like to try out one to check out its feel. I imagine you put as little pressure as possible/required on the strings when fretting ...you guys playing scalloped necks, did you find it hard to get used to at first?

Cool. I only came to know of all the famous players using them after I ordered it, although I was aware that Joe Bonamassa was a user. It was more like: Plug cheap guitar (my strat) in to amp. Get absolutely blown away by the sounds being produced. Put deposit on said amp!

So no idea.I agree with the Melody Maker V/Explorer. The other one doesn't look like a proper Firebird. For starters the tuner-heads don't stick out like that in a 'real' firebird-they're hidden behind the headstock. May be its a 'modern' firebird...
