UB40; takes me back, lived in Birmingham early 80’s. Had a flat which backed on to Edgbaston reservoir.

Dalliances with young ladies in the wee small hours by the lake, great music scene, sublime curries in the Balti houses of Balsall Heath, good pubs and if that wasn’t enough, a great bunch of diverse colleagues who where fun to work with; then to top all that, the car culture.

A much maligned city at the time.

Hawkwind - the Future Never Waits.
On YT music

A new double LP by the Hawklords, 6 of the tracks >7min. Sign me up!
I heard a couple of tracks on Mr I.Pop's radio program and will be buying the album directly.

Mostly prog. with a soupcon of jazz rock riff/noodling. And a couple of metal-ish tunes for the traditionalists.

I knew he was very unwell but also thought he was probably younger than 65; difficult one to judge!

Yazmin Lacey; going to see her tonight; lovely singer songwriter.

This is a stand out track for me; brilliant break up song. Whole album is wonderful for fans of soul with a bit of a jazz influence.
