It really isn't. Listen to it more - it's a real grower.
Been on my mp3 player since it came out. I've listened to it many times. Does nothing for me. Some good moments, but overall has a trying to hard vibe to me.

I hate to be one of those "they're not as good as they used to be" guys...but listen to Louder Than Love, BMF, Down on the Upside, Superunknown.....well, they're just better!

I agree with this. Somehow I don't think the solo / Audioslave stuff did Cornell any good at all.

I'll still be travelling 200 miles to see them in Birmingham. thumbup

Blackhole Sun is perhaps my favourite song ever.

I enjoyed the new album, listened to it quite a lot. But then my favourite albums of theirs were the later ones! (Superunknown and Down on the Upside)

Always been a big Soundgarden fan, but am a little underwhelmed with their new album, so not sure if i'll bother seeing them

His first solo album is excellent, partly as the 'backing group' were an excellent band in their own right - Eleven - but I agree that after that he lost his touch. To be frank IMHO his voice is nowhere near as good as it was.

It's one of my least favourite ever, by any band. Dunno what I'm going to do when they play it in Brum. Cry probably. Now The Day I Tried to Live, on the other hand...

Can't believe I've only found this out today. Now I'm going to have to explain to my gig buddy who they are and why we have to go and see them (He's going to Bon Jovi next week so you can see why I have to explain these things!)
