Spotify - any good ?
Discussion
I also have Spotify premium and I like it. But in the free trial version of Spotify there are problems with the sound. Be careful. So if you order this, know that the paid version has good sound. So if you order this, know that the paid version has good sound.
I also like the Spotify podcast promotion service. So, thanks to these guys spotistar.com, I got a lot of followers and views. And I expect that my plays will be heard by many people and I will be noticed in the professional musical world.

Cancelled Spotify premium. I found I was listening to the same set of music mostly, so better off just having them than spending £10 a month.
Also found that when driving, I still prefer scrolling through radio stations, and it's a better way to discover new music/keep up with current affairs.
So for me personally, nah, Spotify isn't worth paying for.

I don't really listen to albums anymore since getting Spotify.
I have a lot of my favourite bands as playlists so I create my own "best of" compilations. I also have a load of genre playlists that just get constantly added to as I discover new music. My playlists so far are chillout, rock, indie, jazz, trip hop, dance, old school hip hop, alternative indiie, relax... Each one has 100 to 200 tracks and counting. It's just so much more convenient than having to be at my Hi-Fi to listen to music and having to insert a CD or worse, take the plate off my record player and changing the band to play 45's.
Don't get me wrong, when I'm in a music mood and the house is empty, I like to play music the traditional way. For the other 95% of the time I just get my phone out and use Spotify (via Spotify connect on my Hi-Fi, via bluetooth to a speaker or my car or straight to my headphone amp/DAC.)

Sorry to dig up this aged thread, but I'm absolutely tired of the s
t Amazon Music experience. Can anybody tell me if you still get bombarded to upgrade further when you're a paying subscriber? Amazon are total pricks for that sort of thing.
I've never had an email from Spotify trying to get me to upgrade my premium account.![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Very occassionally (3 times a year?) I'll get a page offering some multiple account bobbins when first opening the app on a tablet. Tap "dismiss" and that is it.
OK, so not every time, done in a way that is intended to make it as hard as reasonably possible to dismiss? That's that then. I'll need to find a way to transfer my playlists across, but I trust the app can't be as bad as the Amazon one so will get it cancelled.

It's a non problem. Never seem to get it on my PC or Phone and never whilst using Carplay.I'll need to find a way to transfer my playlists across, but I trust the app can't be as bad as the Amazon one so will get it cancelled.
To transfer playlists there are 3rd Party services. Tunemymusic is one I know people have used, but I have no experience of it myself.

I use an app called SongShift on my iPhone. Has most of the main players as source and destination for playlists. To transfer playlists there are 3rd Party services. Tunemymusic is one I know people have used, but I have no experience of it myself.
