Sometimes dreams come true!
God know what we will get but I'll be there!

been far too many rumours recently for this not to happen. latest one was an interview with scott weiland (fair enough he mightve been out his tree on heroin) but still...... no smoke without fire.
I will definitely be trying to get tickets for whatever they announce. I've been to see the various recent configurations of 'guns and roses', been to see velvet revolver a few times and most recently slash + myles.
has the headliner for glastonbury been announced yet........

For most the G'n'R thing is Axl and Slash - their combined swagger, I'm a big fan of Duff so just getting the three of them back together wouldn't be too bad. Not sure Axl's voice is up to much though, I've heard a lot of good stuff said about the Slash/Kennedy combination and their renditions of the G'n'R classics.
Ha, wouldn't hope for too much.
Caught them about 10 years ago at download- now I don't do the elitist thing about lineups and have seen about a bazillion gigs but they (what passed for guns'n'roses remained just about the only band I'd loved growing up and had the opportunity to see but was just cold about the whole thing. But hey, we're there for the weekend and I thought why not, so long as axl warbles out the classics it should be a safely enjoyable romp.
Sorry did you say axl singing? EEEHHH! No, as I've made my way from seeing the prodigy in the tent - a band I'd always wanted but not yet got round to seeing, who'd played a blinder I was absolutely buzzing, wandered around to the main stage and observed/heard what must be some of axl's roadies taking the piss by murdering a g'n'r song during the sound check- hahaha thats very funny lads but carefull- you know what axls tempers like...
But then the song "ended", and axl spoke some... eh?... then sebastian "skid row" back started murdering a second song... and the horror of it dawned on me: seb is doing vocs for axls covers band and it was so god-awful terrible it has to be some kind of joke? I dunno if was the superbuzz I'm on from the prodigy but it seemed like the funniest thing I've ever seen, I comprehensively lost my st, I collapsed and literally fell over laughing and couldn't stop, people looking at me like I'm insane (although I think a fair few "got it")
So I though bks to this and staggered out the arena, my mates were already packed and lost somewhere as it was sunday night and they were getting the coach back, grabbed the tent and drove home... showered and booted up the PC to see "RIOTS AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL"
but erm, enjoy.

I saw them at Wembley in 1991, so glad I got to see them before they split
Funnily enough so was I are very close to the front. Was it Faith No More or Nine Inch Nails that supported.
Saw them play in Abu Dhabi on the Chinese Democracy tour, which I thought was an excellent concert as it was almost 2 hours of song after song.

It was Seb Bach reading out the letter - whether it was true or not, or just a publicity stunt, who knows?!
Do you also remember that there was quite a long delay before G'n'R came onstage, so to keep us all amused, the cameramen in charge of the big screens at the front started scanning the audience for girls, and when they settled on a girl, the whole crowd started cheering until they pulled up their tops for everyone's 'delectation' so to speak?!
Great gig, I am so glad I was there. I still have the original ticket too!
