It makes no sense to me whatsoever. I only created an account to stream through my soundbar app.

I have created an account (free) and managed to put a few songs onto a play list. However, I cannot play anything other than a 6 second "insert" of a song. My only option says "shuffle play" which does not respond when I press it. And I have a selection of weird songs playing at the bottom of the screen that I have not selected.

I have played about with it quite a bit and can't get anything to change. Is it just rubbish or am I missing something?

Mobile Spotify App. So I open it and screen says at the top "Recently Played". If I click on it, it takes me to a screen with a never ending green circle.

Back to initial screen, next bit says "made for you". Click on that and it takes me to dail ymixes which I can play but don't want to, none of these songs are of interest to me.

Beneath that is "Recommended for you" none of which I am interested in.

At the very bottom is a play bar which has the last song played paused on it. I can only play or pause, not stop.

Now comes the really fu--ing irritating bit.

I created a playlist last week and put 5 songs on there. If I click on the play list, it only gives me the option to "Shuffle Play" ??? I click on this and it plays a song I have never heard off that is not on my play list. It has also removed some songs that I have added.

I have eventually got the list to start playing, however, looks like I can ONLY listen to the entire play list in the order I have saved the songs in, once playing I can only pause it, that's it, not switch between songs or anything else.

So far my conclusion is that Spotify is a total waste of my time.

Ok... after some time, I am slowly starting to like spotify. I haven't used it much until this last few weeks, but it has grown on me and I think I have managed to work out how to get the best out of it. But some questions;

1) I am still using the free version, and have managed to create a decent playlist now. I know that on my phone I am limited to shuffle play and cannot do anything other than listen to a stream of my favourites, I can't select tracks, skip them, forward them or do anything other than listen to a continuous feed selected at random by the app. If I upgrade do I have access to these features on my phone?

2) I managed to listen to shuffle play on my phone yesterday without an an internet connection. Does this mean that whenever I use the phone app I am therefore NOT using up my data? ( Unlike youtube where if used a lot absolutely kills your data in minutes ).

Thanks

Thanks - so , is it a case that the app will save my content to my phone wach time it updates, meaning once downloaded once, it remains on the phone from then on meaning no data chew, or is it that I am using data every time I run the app like youtube?

But I haven't downloaded any songs, all I can do is shuffle play on my phone, I don't know what that is - has my phone downloaded all the songs on my playlist to my phone so that whenever I use the phone app it is already in my phone, or am I accessing it via internet every time I shuffle play?
