Discussion

There are some people who I HAVE to turn off, not down, I just can't 'tune out', they literally have my senses screaming. Probably an ASD thing. I have to kill it.
First of all there's
Mariah Carey..... I honestly do not know what other people actually hear!.... over singing every single line, warbling, it sounds like Karaoke Yodelling to me. Horrible just horrible. ![vomit](/inc/images/vomit.gif)
I have others... she's top of the off list for me
Come on haters, bring the scorn.

Bowie & James Brown - never understood the adulation others seem to feel, Brown especially is just noise to me.
I have this argument with my husband all the time - he loves Bowie. Bowie can NOT sing! however I really like the 'sound' of some of his music (definitely not all) but to my ears, he just cannot sing. Awful.CTO said:
Ellie Goulding.
Had the misfortune to see a small part of a live set of hers once.
As someone on another forum accurately described it.......
`It was essentially an hour of being shouted at by a lovesick aerobics teacher`
Fkin terrible.
It’s the idiotic ga ha baby voice she does, awful Had the misfortune to see a small part of a live set of hers once.

Coldplay. I can see why some people would like them but I can not stand them. .
I can’t see why people like them. Bland like shopping for clothes at Next. You can add Radiohead to that. Interchange Radioplay.
And U2 - yes I already did them but I hate those tossers so much they are in twice.
OVER SINGING aaaaaargh f

Actually you can add OVER PLAYING guitar solos. Self indulgent annoying whine, basically Steve Vai and any guitarist who models themself on him.

The Beatles. URRRRRGHHHHHH
+1
'FANGIO? CRAP'!
I then received a lecture on how I 'should' like them because it was 'intelligent music for intelligent music fans'
I've loathed them ever since.

Someone once asked me if I liked Artic Monkeys. I said no, because I don't. I didn't hate them, they just did nothing for me.

How does one loathe a band that doesn't exist? Or are you referring to truck drivers? I then received a lecture on how I 'should' like them because it was 'intelligent music for intelligent music fans'
I've loathed them ever since.

Dire Straits - never was a band name more apt than this dire offering - with the allowable exception of the very brilliant "Sultans of Swing".... but it all went downhill faster than a Stobart truck of kit off a cliff....
Yes 100% but Sultans of Swing is included.I can’t think of Dire Straits without picturing Harry Enfield (Tim Nice But Dim).
