I was 37 last month and I still like my metal, Iron Maiden's last album is fantastic.

I plan to be listening to music loud when they cart me off the the old folk's home...

Very jelous... been finding a lot of darn good bands coming from your neck of the woods...

Lordi, Wintersun, Turisis, TYR (ok they're Icelandic...) Amon Amarth (Swedish i think?)

Yeaaaah...thanks Indeed actually metal is something that lives here and hasnt been totally forgotten. Some great bands have risen...latest i think NEGATIVE hit big in Japan. Consider them to be more rock

Saw Sabbath on the Sabotage tour, Rory Gallagher, UFO and others I've forgotten but now enjoy Rammstein with liberal doses of Muse

Where did you the snow for that pic on your profile ?

Probably the 80´s wild days of heavy metal are gone...the heavy band image has changed a great deal...no more drugs and wild parties...

yesThat's the stuff. Most people's (not the PH elite obviously) typical idea of metal would be heavy or thrash metal - bands like Megadeath or Slayer - but i'm a much bigger fan of symphonic metal (or to subdivide it even more, symphonic power metal). Trans-Siberian Orchestra is another good example

Indeed
