Converting Cheese to Gold - Cover Versions

Listening to Renee and Renato's track 'Save Your Love' I thought that the lyrics were quite meaningful. Its potential greatness overlooked, I wondered how the gloriously cheesy track might achieve greater acclaim. James Dean Bradfield is the obvious choice accompanied by the ethereal vocals of Swedish songstress Nina Persson.

Another nomination from me is Macy Gray sprinkling her gold dust on Chas and Dave's 'Ain't No Pleasin' You.'

So, over to you folks. What songs would you like to nominate for transformation from cheese to gold by the vocal talents of the great and the good?

It was good first time around with 'Tears For Fears' though I thought. But there is no denying it is a superb cover version that brought real depth and emotion to the track.

I'm talking cheese here. The rottenest, stinkiest cheese transformed into pure gold.

At the time it was quite out of the ordinary. I'm old enough to remember I never was a fan. It was just an observation.
