Hi everyone,

Well, I have returned from holiday (the Maldives are as horrific as you can imagine…), and I'm feeling really good - mainly because we got engaged out there! I also managed to get a set out there, playing to the Saudi Royal family (amongst others). They weren't impressed when I told them that I had no R'n'B….

So, freshly energised, I'm back behind the decks, and there is some seriously good Trance out there at the moment. The genre has died? Don't believe a word of it…. This is pretty pumping stuff, so fits in nicely after 'Puissant'.

I hope these mixes find everyone in fine fettle

Saw Simon Patterson (a mate), John O'Callaghan (good), Armin (better), PVD (dull), Ali Wilson (too loud), Rank1 (great tune).... a few others as I went for a wander at times...

The organisation was incredible - lockers instead of cloakroom. The sound quality in the main area was amazing - rock band loud, but you could still talk normally. Indoor fireworks, massive light and laser displays, massive light boards stretching down the room, flooding the entire area with light if need be. 'Theme' of the night was that you were in and part of a giant organic computer, with the DJ's being different running programmes to load up and run. plenty of places to sit down and chill, security was very tight to go in, and they had a lot in there, but not wandering through the dance floors - just at the sides to help people. I'll collate the photos from the 14 people I took (stag do), and post up the best.

Oh yes - cheers for the comments on the mixes!

Edit - Simon patterson 'Thump' was played 3 times on the night. No other tune I heard was played more than once...Oh look, what's the last tune? wink
