Following on from another thread I am now looking to bin the decks and get up to date!

I'm looking for advice regarding getting my mac up and running to create a few playlists. (I just have a few questions if anyone can help?)

I need a sound card and was wondering if there is one suitable for the Air?

Also I am looking at getting Traktor as it seems easier to use than Apleton? That just leaves me to get a USB mixer (X-Session Pro - USB MIDI DJ Mixer Controller I have seen for £70) and away I go!!

The only stupid question I have is (apart from the above!) how you you control the speeds of track 1 and track 2 that you are mixing? I know you can do it on the program but is there some hardware to do this externally? I'm guessing you cant do it on the mixer I have listed?

Thanks for that.

I do agree with what you say I just dont want the hassle of updating my decks and the cost of buying vinyl..

CD mixers the way to go for a bed room dj?

hehe

Decks isnt an option as I would end up buying new ones and also I dont want to spend fortunes on Vinyl as my collection is quite small...

So what do you reccomend?

Midi Controller
Sound Card
Trackor

???
