I could be up for a drink on the friday. I have no idea about Brum though so er yeah... I think I will prob be staying in the centre though.
beer
If you can, stay Solihull area rather than Brum centre - closer, and easier to park & no M6 traffic!!

ETA - list of hotels I put in the other thread for Sat

Kenilworth @ 20 mins from the NEC (depending on traffic)http://www.clarendonhouse-hotel.com/

NEC List

Hilton - cheapsest £114 atm

CrownPlaza - Cheapest £129 atm

cheers for the offer, i shall impose on you next time, but have a couple of friends with me that night - so it'll either be a drive or taxi if we make it

So is the plan friday night to meet at the Hilton bar at 19:30 then?

That would be great with me seeing as I am staying at the Hilton and will be 200miles from home so have no idea where to go!!

Have just booked a hostel in the centre of Brum, it looks really friendly and quite good fun. Also its really close to the bus link to the NEC, so I wont have to pay the extorcionate (sp?) amount for the parking at the show!
Am a bit of a cheepskate me...

yes With so many folks travelling, I thought it best to keep Friday night local and on site.

Can then discuss Saturday night and make arrangements when you know the area a little better - Brum centre is quite a distance taxi wise, although there is the train...... Solihull is a lot closer

Ok, I'll clarify - non PH means I'm not going off on a date with any of the PHers that are at the NEC over the weekend biggrin

But get the flight mate biggrin

I'll try and make it to the Hilton Bar for 7:30 then if I get sorted in time. Is the Hilton anywhere near the Holiday Inn? (They have a bar too if you want a different venue! Much easier for me to get towink)

It is all on the same complex - how far apart they all I don't know - all the hotels claim to be in walking distance of the Arena, so should be walking distance from each other.....

Hilton & Crown Plaza are the most central ones, being actually IN the NEC, hence the choice.

thumbup Actually it's probably good that we aren't in the Holiday Inn bar. Last time I was staying in one, I had a meet up only to find they charge all drinks to a room after 11pm and as I was the only one staying there it all went on my bill!

How long is everyone planning on staying at that bar as it may be a bit of a rush to make it there for 7:30?
