I'm going to head down around midnight or so tomorrow night and then try and pop down again for sunrise to try and get some photos.

I normally wander along the pits then down to the inside of T1 where you can get great photos of the cars under braking with glowing discs.

This approach may actually make me get my real camera out again.

Ian will no doubt be there I guess.

I did wonder what all the noise was about whilst I had a beer or 6 at the Ranches golf club this evening!

Where is the best place to park? At the front near Spinney or at the back?

We would like to do the grid walk ahead of the race.

Thanks.

Annoyingly I don't land until Sunday morning so I shall miss it this year.

For anyone going the vampire hours, bring a jumper. Made that mistake the first year and could not believe how cold I felt (around 2am) - was in a t-shirt! I normally love the cold and don't mind it but not then.

The main issue with 'chilli' is that you randomly meet in the car park.
Then Stella got introduced.

Isn't that where you meet all of your "contacts"?!

Yep I was there for the 8th consecutive year (all being involved with a team). We had a few issues with our brand new built car but come hell or high water we were getting the car across the finish line.....and we did.

I am getting to old for these 36hr+ days with no sleep....

Which car number was yours? And well done on finishing! There were a few driving around in the morning devoid of various parts of the body!

Car 48. We did have a small amount of duct tape on the car at the finish.

92 started with 3 non starters due to crashes / blown engines in the practice / qualifying sessions. We are already planning the job list for next years event....

It's an amazing spectacle. Can't quite get my head round how when the first car has completed lap 1, the 92nd car has only just crossed the start line.

That would mean that the last car got lapped on the before (or as it started), thats not quite right is it. Certainly the leaders were lapping cars pretty quickly. ZRT got lapped on lap 3. It is crazy.
