No worries - when it comes to doubting the integrity of other racers, I'm as cynical as anyone. It's an aspect of racing that'll always exist - as long as there are rules we'll suspect our competitors of braking them!
Their you go Shim, even Steve accepts that "people" will suspect other competitors of breaking the rules.Nowt to do with balls.
Hi guys, been interested in this series for a while and I'm coming to watch (as a paying spectator) on Saturday at Silverstone. Seems the forum on the Trackday Trophy site doesn't exist any more?
Whilst I appreciate you'll all be busy and in the zone, if anyone is open to me having a little nose around and throwing a few questions at you, I'd be much appreciated!
All the best.

Toys out the pram moment ? I simply replied to a guys comment but you seem to have your panties in a twist Andy.
Two cars in a race series, one is running 200 BHP per ton, the other 175 BHP per ton, if you bothered to read my post I wasn't talking about better drivers, I was talking about straight line speed.
And I did not accuse anyone of cheating, I said "You can't blame people for being suspicious " considering it has been mentioned that some cars have been found to be underweight.
Like I said, come and have a look at my video at Silverstone. Reality shows - and it was the only time I had a drag race with the M3 - that the M3 is clearly faster in a straight line. Also, If you were in the Mondeo without aero, you'll see when I close on you that it all happens on the corners. Two cars in a race series, one is running 200 BHP per ton, the other 175 BHP per ton, if you bothered to read my post I wasn't talking about better drivers, I was talking about straight line speed.

Steve, honestly bud I am not having a pop at anyone, I was just saying that I "could" understand why some guys were suspicious regarding your straight line speed.I do understand that good lap times can be achieved with good car set up, driver experience, and track knowledge, all of which you had at Brands.
We wont be at Silverstone this weekend so good luck to you and all the guys going.

We'll be Silverstone (Rick & Andy) - feel free to pop over, car number 72 (M3). Been at it for just over 12 months now Whilst I appreciate you'll all be busy and in the zone, if anyone is open to me having a little nose around and throwing a few questions at you, I'd be much appreciated!

I was watching from the Grandstand looking over the last corner and when you were following Steve in the 968, he seemed to gap you loads coming out of the last corner, but you got past at the end of the back straight. Did you close up before the first corner?
Yeah the M3 was a little quicker on the straights and good on the brakes too, but you saw the state of the tyres before the race so less grip in the corners, and 888's seem to go off quite quickly. Plus We had one tyre that had been Fitted the wrong way round Haha. Yes, they are looking a little old Rich. I suppose what I'm saying is with Steve with his nearly new V700's was getting a great exit, but you still managed to pass him down the straight, it kind of proves how much quicker your car is. He's top of Class B and you're top of Class A.

Come on then, where are all the snipey comments about the class A M3 that was 2 secs faster than everything else in its class in qualifying and won the race by a minute? I'm feeling a bit victimised here!!
Nothing came close to Mark's E46 - obviously noticed he's running a non OEM spoiler so assume he was carrying extra weight too Did the track seem slower than last year to anyone else? I did a 1.10.5 last year in quali and only managed to take 2 tenths of last year's time, despite improvements to the car. I think the "no wheels off" rule really made a difference here.
Also, there were plenty of quick guest runners this weekend in TDT. We would have got Pole Position were it not for the pesky guests

Sorry for been a pesky guest! I was in the MR2 Roadster unfortunately the rain made our race a bit poor, went from 3rd too almost last after 2 laps. Our tyres didn't really work in standing water! Also, there were plenty of quick guest runners this weekend in TDT. We would have got Pole Position were it not for the pesky guests
