Unbelievable. The CoftheC should be taking more action than points and a fine. What a total fkwit. If he'd done that to me I'd have kicked his bd teeth out.

Looking at that Im surprised the guy is allowed anywhere near a track!! If it was me, I would still be seeking further punishment for the nutter in the red mx5! And if he races in a mx5 championship, maybe drop the video footage to the series co-ordinator. If it was in yhe TVR lot I race in, pretty sure he would be asked to leave before he caused any further damage!!

It's all over Facebook - everyone has said it was disgraceful and the guy should be banned !
If you weren't wearing a Hans, then that would have been a very different outcome.

Who was the driver ?

The driver was Bob Higgins! Usually drives the No. 64 car.

Spread the word. Can't see him being welcome in any paddock in future.

How many points and how big a fine?

On the basis of what can be seen in the video, a deliberate and premeditated move that could have potentially injured a fellow competitor and marshals on post, the MSA should be hauling him up to explain himself in a full tribunal and suspending his licence.

He certainly shouldn't be racing and should be banned straight away.

Points and a fine is no use to the victim is it? If it's a deliberate act there should be compensation for the loss of the victim's car.

Absolutely disgraceful, and so obviously deliberate. Even if you were moveing tot he far right of the track, you would do it smoothly, not with a quick flick of the wheel like that.

I am genuinely gobsmacked - I feel for you, and hope you can get the car back on track.

Firstly, how on earth can someone bring themselves to do that in the first place, and secondly, how does that man still have a licence to race.

Having just looked him up, I'm surprised by his age - I'd half expect this from a child, but not someone with experience.

Bloody hell - this is supposed to be club motorsport...not death race 2013!

I'd love to see the footage from outside the car.

There is footage from the car behind me, but i dont have access to that. You can clearly see his car jerk to the right!

Can only agree with this. I could see it coming as he was being overtaken, but didn't think the driver could be quite so stupid to endanger someone's life in this way. Beggars belief.

Accidents like that lead to people being killed.

Car spearing off at a point of the track it wouldn't otherwise crash means that you're going to have an accident far outside that which is planned for. This leads to cars hitting marshals posts which is exactly what's supposed to not happen.

Very much a ban

I'm not doubting that for one moment!

Looks horrific in my opinion. I'm sorry to see that happened really.
