A good article in todays Autosport featuring the series plans.
That'll be the snow delayed Autosport that hasn't made it here yet.

Though I'm in deep doo doo finding one of my heads ha cracks making it B.E.R. and being NASCAR spec, it's a case of finding an identical one, getting one made, or finding a suitable pair of similar or better (if it's possible) heads.

I'm certainly looking forward to May. If I still have any money left after buying one or two heads!!!

I've got very close in recent months to binning my Autosport subs, simply because of it's p.poor coverage of anything other than F1, which after last year got to be a total joke.

Good article though.

Yep agree n the Crap in Autosport - is there other rcaing other than F1!! And so we need the finite element anayis of all things F1 - if they did some of the more detail on other areas of the sport it would be good.

I only buy it occassionally now, for something to keep in the loo.

David Krayham had loads of troble getting his stealth within the noise limits[although Bob Light seemed to manage it]so i doubt many of the drivers would not even want to try,and then there's the bumps, limited run off need i say anymore lol?

After about 40 years of subscribing, my dad gave up his subscription at Christmas and handed the batten to me. I do enjoy it, but find it hurts my brain to read in bed. Quite unlike the amazing MotorSport, which seems to sooth me off into a blissful sleep. It's a shame that it's so tabloid these days. Sensationalistic stories, headlines, and plenty of ar*e licking where appropriate. However, it does keep one constantly informed of the latest news.

Oh, and my esteemed father replaced AS with Railway Modeller. Must be his age...

Damn damn damn damn damn!
Need a pair of cylinder heads for Harry, so my competition in anything this year might be later rather than sooner.
Damn damn damn damn damn!
Ruddy cracked alloy heads B.E.R.!! Grump.
That's a big chunk out of my budget.

Chevy Motorsport 18degree NASCAR Busch spec, CNC ported to a Ron Hutter Racing Engines profile (the one used to win more races in NASCAR Busch in 1999 than any other engine).
It's possible that I could source one from an outfit called WeldTech who produce reproductions of the Hutter heads (easy as CNC!), but one new head will cost more than a good pair of s/h heads - and they often come complete with port matched intake, all of the roller rocker gear, pushrods, etc... I've found a few sets in the 'States, but have to be careful with the pennies at the moment.

Andy - yes I have driven it, quite a few times, and every time I do I'm filled with joy when I tread the loud pedal! The last time in proper anger was back in August 2006 at Donington (Britcar V8 Supercars) where the front oil seal p'd life bloods out, and wasn't fixable at the circuit, but took 15 minutes in the workshop with the right tool! It spent 2007 & 2008 sidelined while I played ASCAR.
It is true - it's never finished a race - mostly due to the water issues which I recently found.

I was in that race in my blue Tuscan and I remember you having problems - I'd forgotten you'd been doing ASCAR since then.

Hope you get it sorted and back out there - is it your main racing focus this year?

I have decided to build my car with a few tweeks that will allow it to run more competitively in Super GT.

Won't be at the front as wit will not hacve huge wings and splitter, but should be Fast.
