weight distribution.

I had to do that with the taz on one trailer I had... put it on forward and the heavy v6 put too much nose weight on.. put it on backwards and it was just about perfect...

a few inches can make all the differnce fnarr fnarr..

so the answer to the question ( like many) is it depends and you need to experiment..

Mine is rear engined. The car, not the trailer. I like some nose weight when towing or the tail tries to wag the dog.

I always push or winch the car onto trailer or truck, simply because firing up a cold engine just to load it puts it through an unnecessary heat cycle. Even if its already warm driving it on wears the clutch, which is a viscious little 5.5" thing and a bit like a switch.
5.5" that is Small!! Mine is 7.25;) I have always just driven it from the end of the race starigh on in one hit, no slowing down excessively - bam straight on.

That doesn't work for us. The car is the last thing to go on, after the awning, poles, flooring, tables, chairs, strip lighting, tea and coffee making facilities, TV/DVD, tool box, air bottle, wheels, pit trolley and 1001 assorted bits and pieces. Generally about 2 hours after we start packing up....

Holy Moly. Even when we use the Motor home we can be done in 15mins.

Sweet - who Griff? What kind of time do they do round there (I have one I am building).

That was quiet compared to - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6734978036... when we had a proper exhaust system made for it and it had been on a diet!

The Griff belonged to Serge Von Havre. I only shook it down for him, as I did a Bizzarini. From memory a 52 around mallory, but like I say that was a Wednesday morning. It was a left hooker, proper spec, went like the clappers
