Can I interject to ask, as I'm in a similar situation, is the consensus then that up to a certain point the seat doesn't need to be in date? Or are we just referring to the Radical w/moulded seat? Asking as my would-be racer was last raced in October last year and has belts and extinguisher in date, but seat dated '17- I had assumed it had been swapped since it last saw competition but was it actually kosher within the regs?

Don't have my blue book to hand currently hence the lazy question!

Don't need seats in date for circuit racing in the uk (note rallying is different, need the dates valid there).
