My co-drivers ran into this for the Creventic 24 Hours of Silverstone this year. The FIA PDF is here:

...but I note that in the latest MSA News there was a comment regarding HANS holograms.
What's particularly odd is that SAH2010 helmets are not allowed to be used with a HANS etc by the FIA even though the H in SAH specifically refers to the fact that they were homologated by Snell for use with frontal head restraints! http://www.fia.com/technical-list-ndeg25-recognise...

Some friends have been using same helmet and hans for years...they have no sticker and it has never been mentioned to them.
StevieI would check your friends helmets (!). If they have been at a MSA event and run without a MSA sticker I would be very surprised as this is something the Scruts pick up on straight away. FHR do not require MSA stickers to be added.

They've been running for the last 4-5 years at least.I would check your friends helmets (!). If they have been at a MSA event and run without a MSA sticker I would be very surprised as this is something the Scruts pick up on straight away. FHR do not require MSA stickers to be added.

Well, there is a requirement to have a sticker when a new helmet is first presented for scrutineering.
The sticker is required for every subsequent occasion when it is presented for scrutineering. If a driver is involved in an incident where helmet damage is visible or suspected the sticker will be removed by the scrutineers & the helmet is no longer legal until re-inspected.Dave Brand said:

I meant 'a sticker applied' to a new helmet.stevieturbo said:
Their helmets arent new, they've been using them for years too lol.
Mine was new though, forced purchase to replace a perfectly good and almost new helmet.
So the scrutineer did exactly what he is supposed to do in your case. As for your mates, I'm amazed that they are able to use a non-MSA stickered helmet on a MSA event as it is the one thing all the scrutineers seem to check.Mine was new though, forced purchase to replace a perfectly good and almost new helmet.
