Thanks that's what I thought would be the case but I spoke to the technical director at Toyo last week and he reckons the R has a new compound and more grip albeit still badged as GG (medium). Toyo are not offering them in GGG (soft) or SG (super soft) though. I am interested in real life experience of them if anyone has tried a set.77racing said:

blimey 21 is low for a hot setting , I aim for 26 hot on GG compound on 888's.Bear in mind I sprint so we go out on stone cold tyres - so that what the 21 represents. As a sprint is max 100 seconds they never get really hot - well maybe they do at Goodwood but not many other places.
