Hi (new to site)

Has anyone done arrive and drive racing, been looking at max5 racing ltd and have e-mailed them for costs etc which they have given me (Thanks Jon), would like to hear from someone who's done this, like me on a low budget.
Costs I was given to compete in 3 races (Brands, Mallory and lydden) inc enrty fees, insurance, and their hire costs worked out to around £3k (plus cost to get licence, race wear etc).
This is the only way I can see to fulfill my dream of circuit racing (had some expierence in karts and Oval racing).

Cheers!!!!!!!

Hi Mark,

Thankyou for your e mail, you will be looking at the following prices.

Brands Hatch Single header £ 400.00 plus entry fee's & insurance ( Entry fee is £190.00 & insurance will be £180.00 + £500 excess) This fee covers transportation of vehicle, mechanical support at circuit & fuel

Lydden hill, Double header £ 650.00 plus entry fee's & insurance ( Entry fee is £300.00 & insurance will be £180.00 + £500 excess) This fee covers transportation of vehicle, mechanical support at circuit & fuel.

Mallory Park, Double header £ 600.00 plus entry fee's & insurance ( Entry fee is £300.00 & insurance will be £180.00 + £500 excess) This fee covers transportation of vehicle, mechanical support at circuit & fuel.

This will be for a fully race prepared MK 3 MX 5 Transported to & from the circuit with full mechanical support so all you need to do is Jump in and have some fun.

If you require any further info please contact me.

Hi Mark, you can insure all mechanical equipment but excess is slightly dearer. Regarding dented wings etc, if it more cost effective to repair or replace and considerably cheaper than the excess then we would repair and just charge at cost price materials and labour, as the cars are new to race track they are all in pristine condition at the moment so any damage is repair immediately.

There are a couple of insurance companies around so you can get it cheaper, I have just given you worst case !

If you commit then we will endeavor to find a more cost effective solution for insurance, you can if you wish not insure the car however a £1500 bond will be required in advance of which we will hold and if any damage is done then this will pay towards it of if the vehicle is badly damaged then you will be liable for the total repair bill, inherently if any minor damage is done then it normally equates to approx £250 - £300.

Hope this has helped.

If you require any further info please contact me !

Those prices are so cheap that they can only be a loss-leader for the relaunch of the Max5 series with mk3 cars. Grab with both hands and enjoy while you can!
The prices I asked for was for 2011 so will start saving now!!!!!lol
