Should I Stack It?
Discussion
I guess that's why mine came without being inverted...even though I'd requested an inverted tach! Oh well...See what it looks like with everything in. Will you be using a removable steering wheel adapter? You might see what it looks like with and without the removable hub. Keep us posted on this.

Jack,
Have you inquired about purchasing a stack with inverted tach dial? Just a thought.

Just got word from the Stack Man, and the inverted tach is only available in the race dash, and you have to sacrifice some display.
Good thought tho

Absolutely will be using a removable wheel. The easiest way to get in a CanAm is to stand on the seat and let your legs slide under the wheel. A lot easier if the wheel isn't there!! If I have to change the wheel to a round top, I will.
I'll install the seat without the dash and find a good height for the Stack that way. That should give me a good idea where to mount it

Your definitely right about that! The removable boss is a real necessity. I own a sport and its definitely a tight fit getting in and out. Luckily, I can kind of use the door pillar with my left arm. The seats are a little tight as well. Its a bit of a workout...who's needs a gym? Just get in and out of your Ultima 20 times a day . I can see my stack fine with the removable adadpter boss and curved steering wheel. I used Ultima's stack gauge holder and fiberglassed it in directly on top of the dash. I think I purchased one of Momo's last curved top/flat bottom wheels 3 years ago. They were kind of a hard to find item back then. Its also a good idea to purchase a wheel that's at least 320mm in diam.. Anything smaller is a little tough to muscle.
How far along are you on your car? Any photos yet? What did you go for with regards to your motor? Its great to see other American builders on this site.

Power package is finished and ready to drop in when needed. 600hp+ and Power Hauss II external oiling 5 speed.
Alloy work is just about finished. Polishing sure is dirty work. Now the clean assembly work begins.
Will send you pictures direct as am not set up to post.
