If you want to spend some money on something you think will improve your car then I am sure the Factory will be happy to assist. No skin off their nose as it is not detrimental to the car, and they are in business to make money.

I do have long wishbones and different wheel offsets Dom. Mine are not factory ones though.

It is hard to judge as the modification was done over the winter when the car was off the road for 6 months hibernation.
I used the same tyres (I have a set of wheels with 285 Khumos for the track and a set of 245 Toyo's for the road) both on extra offset wheels.
The steering is lighter but not a great deal. The other settings are Factory standard.
