Steering wheel

Does anyone know if the standard factory steering boss is compatible with OMP and Sparco steering wheels?
I am thinking of going the flat bottomed (D shape) route to make entry/exit a little more refined.
Also, are there any IVA considerations when choosing a wheel?

Ebeck. I will once again submit that the removable wheel is a waste of time. But more importantly it adds some compliance to the steering which is not desirable. I am 6 ft 2 and weigh 90 kgs and I get into and out of the car with no interference from the wheel. Give this a second thought before you commit. Lee
Just a heads up if you so choose to use a removable wheel ESPECIALLY in a Can Am.
A friend with a roadster FACTORY FIVE like mine has raced in the rain. The quick release was wet one day and the next time it did not
lock in correctly due to un seen rust.
The wheel came off during a race and a wall was met with great anger, holy FXX K ! (trying to work that in all my posts now that Ferrari has a most terrible name)
They must be lubed and checked. I prefer bolts now.

For UK IVA, you'll need the "crush boss" from the factory. After you're road legal, feel free to swap it out, if it helps you get in & out of the car.
I have a 330mm wheel (after trying a 350mm, which was way too big) and have no particular issues getting in & out. I have now swapped the crush boss for a QR boss, however. With the wheel removed, it's now a doddle to get in & out, plus it's a good security feature. My car hasn't got wet, but prior to the Can Am, I did have an Ariel Atom with QR wheel and that got soaked on more occasions that I'd have liked... it suffered no ill effects, so I'd suggest if you're buying a QR boss, just get a good quality one and maintain it like you would any other moving part.
