supercharging sbc 383 Amerspeed ?
Discussion
Are you using the stock side slinger bracket for the supercharger? I'm not sure if these fit. i know that the few people using centri superchargers have made their own brackets.
Might also be worth having a word with v8yes on here as he has a supercharged SBC. he might be able to get some pics of the bracket.
Thanks for the info. At the moment I don't use anything. I got the car to a Belgian V8 specialist yesterday who told me that the compression in the Amerspeed was already very high and that, in order to prevent detonation, they had to lower it before installing the supercharger. Wich makes it a kind off silly in my eyes...

I've been talking to a Dutch race engineering company wich ensured me after seeing the
specs of the Amerspeed SBC 383 they could safely bring it to 600/650 hp and 650Nm by changing the
intake, camshaft and valve control and without supercharging.
Job is estimated between €5000 and €6000

Yes I know LS7 is the way to go but it will put me €30.000 back.
I've asked the guys from Weineck in Germany what they can do for me.
Probably they can make it rev 9000 or more rpm but I'm still waiting their response and
I'm afraid their tuning will be far more expensive than an LS7 swap.On the other end
if you can say your Ultima has a Weineck in it...
They're known for building worlds best V8 between 5 and 17 litres.
