Out of interest does anyone here have n20 installed on their Ultima...and if so is there anywhere to put the bottle besides in the side pods?

The only other place I can find is inbetween the seats, and this would only allow a very small 6lb bottle - no good as it would be empty in two hits Also I want to put a fire extinguisher there.

I do not want to have to cut the side pods for all the obvious reasons. The bottle needs to be mounted somewhere within the protection of the cage in case the unthinkable happens.

I looked at Stig's mounting of his fire-eater system, and I could get a large bottle like that it behind the passengers braking pedal but unfortunately nos bottles are all long and thin rather than short and fat. My worst case scenario would be to buy a fire eater bottle, and use that after I had done extensive modifications to it ie stripped, chromed and re-valved.

Any suggestions?

Looks like I will have to put the bottle up front as Steve says. Although it means I can't use a large bottle, there is virtually no other place to put the damned thing as in the rear all space will be taken up by the dry sump system and tank. Also not sure what effect all that heat would have on the bottle.

The side pods were never an option for all the reasons stated already. It looks as though the old days of turning the valve on before you drive are over as I have found a company that do an elctric "valve" bottle isolator.

All I am looking for now is a nice little aluminium button to match all the other ally switches with "Go Baby Go" on it...
