where do you lurk???
Discussion
Sure it will take a while for the rest of you lot scattered in Asia, Local and Expat but i am sure that all will find their way here eventually!!
I asked the kind people that are PH Management to give us a "region" as we tend to wander in and out of PH due to work, and also troll the boards at antisocial hours!!
So along with our Antipodean PH'ers we have our own little pit of pistonheads from the other side of the world!!!
(and yes, i may be a bit pished!!!)
Anyway ... to start where and what are you??

I work as a kind of project manager/management dogs body whithin a large German based bank....
I do some consultancy work through a professional services company as a PM for some banks and oil companies. Also involved in trading of physical oil and the services industry around its extraction ... after a wile "localised" out here you learn to acquire several jobs!
and do as little work as possible within those jobs!!!
Berw,
Lucky fella, they wont let us type aprove those sort of cars in Singapore.
A mate of mine tried to get the Caterham type approved for Singapore, but the LTA just told him to go forth and procreate with himself!!
Taken the porker up to Sepang a few times, but the Johor Circuit is my local! (i am not that good!)

Sounds cool!!
Track day cars don't work very well in Singapore - trailers not allowed unless you are a registered haulage company!!
Although i know a few guys that keep weekend weapons in garages at Pasir Guidang!
End effect is i have as close to a track day car for my daily driver, means that the wife gets fet up with having her fillings rattled out all the time, but i am always grinning like an idiot!!
How much of a track day / classic sports car scene is there in Malaysia (i only realy know about the MSCCC) as opposed to hotroded ricers that are everywhere?

And i shall be going to Singers for the F1 GP
Funnily enough, i will be lurking about for that too!!Have decided that this year i am going to watch the actual race on TV, but i plan to get a walking pass for the whole race weekend. Found that being able to just wander about all over the place through all the quali sessions and feeder races was better than the grandstand.
Having said that, it would seem from discussions that best grandstands are as follows ...
- Singapore Cricket Club
- Turn 1
- Raffles Grandstand (can see T8 and T16 if i recall correct)

Shipping out of Bangkok next week, off to Batam Indonesia for my new contract can't wait to be honest, done with Bangkok for a while. Would love to hook up with anyone at the GP if interested? May even venture into Sing as it's only 20klm from Batam on a boat.
quite often pop over to Batam, either to the Palm Springs golf course to go digging for worms, or to Nongsa Point for some sailing!Whereabouts you going to be based there(not that its that big a place anyway)
Sadly probably not ...
I am almost down to the canvas on my rear tires and still waiting for new rubber to be shipped in (i am rather fussy)
And it just seems wrong to fly there!
Your descrete tip won me two slabs of beer ....
4 of us picked a driver each in a sweapstake to see who would place highest on the grid ....
they then were foolish enough to go double or nothing on the race
Don't think i will get away with that this weekend!

hey Furberger
We have half heartedly tried to organise a few PH meets out here but i think we have even less organisational ability than the Perth WA lot!!
Perhaps we should try again some time!
Seen a few Ducati Monsters about so have probably seen you on the road (you certainly cannot miss me!!)

sory, no PH stickers on the porker, just a tunnelrun one on the back window!!! However, i think it rates as one of the most distinctive cars in the PH owners sections!!!I haven't spotted any PH sticker here..yet!!

Yea the outlaws tell me a similar story about the colour on mine too!! It has been so many colours in its life though (looking at the occasional paint chip, its a bit like archaeology. It has old english white, guards red and powder yellow amongst others under the current coat of "Mexico Blue"
Been planning on bringing the exterior look back to period with a duck tail and some fusches, when if i get around to doing that, it will probably get a respray to Viper Green!!
Yea when it comes to a PH Pissup, us singa lot are a bit like hearding cats!
managed a good gathering of visitors for last years Grand Prix but thats about it
Keep hankering after this GTV 2000 but know the wife will kill me!!! she wants a car with real aircon!!

Don't post up anything from Autobahn! I nearly got slapped when I suggested we turn round and go have a look see on Saturday... Apparently I should be happy with the Beemer.I think she's still pissed that I've convinced her that I need another mountain bike - I've got five at home and forgot to bring one over with me.
You will still get the slap and more, but at you will still have the car
There is a very good mountain bike shop on Frankle Avenue near Siglap.
(going into that shop to buy a mountain bike will also result in a slap mind you!!!!)
Hows it hanging?

Knowing you it's probably the AutoBahn equivalent of a bike shop and as such will result in something more akin to debollocation as opposed to a mere slap! Apparently I deliberately forgot to bring one of my bikes over in order to give me an excuse to get a newer one with better toys on it. some of which may actually be trueHappyGoLucky said:

Slightly to the left, as ever. Nicky flies back next weekend so have been keeping relatively low profile doing the coupley type stuff. How goes it with you?edit because balsed up the quotes.
