Yeah, this is what she's paying at present - can't remember what the price was originally back in 2020 when we went through the cancellation charades

Sounds like you're getting ripped off atm... Sky cinema is £10, not sure why you're paying double. You can get Sky, Netflix and UHD for £32 with Sky Stream. It's worse than Sky Q but I've got used to it.
is there a thread for sky stream? I’m out of contract with a dish - been looking at stream, but not overly convinced and I can “try before you buy”
Main motivation is to get hd/uhd in more than one room, which q doesn’t do.

I've had no problems with Stream in the year and a half I've been using it.
I think it's a great bit of kit.

I’ve wanted it a while as I have 2 living rooms in daily use, but with Q one of them is stuck with peasant vision HD on the mini box, whereas Stream can do 4k on every TV

The q boxes often get themselves in a tizz trying to talk to each other too which is annoying

for how long - from what i’ve seen, sometimes only a few weeks or months before you get the full fat charges

Gave them a call £74 for everything + £119 for four pucks. So reasonably happy with that.

What i was after is how does that price compare to what is offered to a new customer.

Is there any way to get the F1 (in HD) without all the other sports package? It is £30 a month and I only use it for F1, 9 months of the year.

Our package is £127.505 a month so need to get it reduced significantly. I really like the Sky Q interface though so don't want to switch to Virgin/BT etc. What's the chances of getting this at a significantly lower price? It was £77 in 2022.

are you out of contract? The £74 sky stream deal for everything inc uhd will revert to a higher price in 18 months time and the bloke on the phone said give us a call before it expires to renegotiate.

Main reason I've never upgraded for a very very long time is because I was still on the sky f1 legacy deal if you paid for HD (as i dont watch any other sports) - but i seemed to have got a full upgrade for essentially what i was paying before for far less.

Went from SKY+ with multiroom, family pack with HD (which included F1) for £71 to sky stream everything(cinema, sports) ,multiroom, uhd for £74.

I’ve just left Sky (although like you i much prefer their interface) and signed upto Virgin which should be installed at the end of the month.

With Sky i had pretty much all the channels except the kids ones, 150mb internet, extra box and phone, were paying £98 but was about to go upto £130. Looked at Virgin and got all the channels, 500mb internet and an O2 simcard (useful for eldest who is at the age he wants a phone) plus second box for £80. Bear in mind that the O2 contract is £25 of that, really cant complain about all the channels and pretty decent internet speed for £55

Called Sky, they couldnt match or get anywhere near so unfortunately im going to have to deal with Virgins crappy interface.

Does Sky stream allow you to record/series link shows?

I only have a 20Mb download speed and no fibre in our street, would that be enough?

it doesn’t have any way to record/ save to the device, it does only ‘stream’ all content. you add programmes/ series to your ‘playlist’, then when you watch one it just remembers the last episode you watched or where you were on a show and picks up from there (just like netflix)

i’ve not had any issues with my stream box and had it 4/5months now. it seems to work even if you start something a bit delayed (think football match or f1 race) so when i click to watch it gives the option to ‘watch live’ or start from the beginning

no idea on minimum internet speed tho
