Cheers smile

No idea how loud the amp would be, but it goes up to ten on the volume knob and set on number 2 it's quite loud! I'm not going to give these speakers a heavy work out mind you, but they still sound nice and handle themselves well at a decent volume.I was quite suprised how nice the treble sounds, I was expecting them to be far more muffled due to the age of them. Can't wait for the other bits to arrive now.Like a kid in a sweet shop so I am hehe

The 'Japanese' 70/80's stuff are also highly sought after especially some of the 'high end' gear. Here is a my Panasonic receiver with speakers I bought from a charity shop.
I keep asking at some charity shops but they told me that are not allowed to sell any electrical items frown

I did a quick rough edit video.Obviously a lot of quality is lost as I was just using the video option of a Canon Powershot camera, but you can still hear how nice this old equipment is.

Bloody awesome. Who makes that? It looks like a cathedral organ of valves.

That Toshiba PCX-12 was my first cassette deck!
Loved the VU meters and the 'metal' light that illuminated...

It's an Icon Audio MC34, which is a UK designed but Chinese produced version of the classic 'Stereo 20' format using EL34 tubes.

Also have a Stereo 60 version, which really shifts some air wink

A decent Hi-Fi system shouldn't need a Graphic Equaliser.....

Quad electrostatics work best with Quad valve amps........
