OK...

In terms of £££'s....

Best for £500 ???

Best for £1000 ???

Best for £1500 ???

£500 = Dawn who works the high street but gobbles like crazy
£1000 = Fiona, works the back alleys but is clean and shaven
£1500 = Emma, works in Mayfair and always swallows!

In which case, I'll take Dawn and Fiona for £1500 hehe

Another question for Der - hope no one minds it being tacked on the end of this thread.....

I want to buy 2 x 40" - 42" flat panel jobbies...I won't be getting any Sky or cable or HD stuff so don't need to worry about those kind of things, but would like integrated Freeview.

Both will be wall mounted, one in a basement kitchen (low natural light level) and one in the bedroom which will be ordinary light level (is there such a thing??).

I have no idea whether LCD or Plasma is the way to go and Ideally want to spend as little as possible but guessing at around £1,000 to £1,300 per set, but would hope to get a good deal on two of them.

What reccomendations???

ALiS 1080 plasma panel to give you an amazing viewing experience. This revolutionary technology fits an unsurpassed number of pixels on the screen,

Does this mean its a full hd resolution 1920x1080 screen?

Here's my question: nearly new 32" LCD all working well except no sound at all on ITV 1. Why?

Your panel evidently has taste and has recognised that ITV is the channel of chavs...

thanks Der - will check out the specs on it (although to be fair I don't know really what I am looking at!!) but the deal sounds good and am presuming it gives a great picture for the money.

Does the price include all the bits and bobs I would need like a wall bracket or are those all extra?

cheers

Crikey DeR - this is turning into quite a new business fest ! Good stuff.

I must confess to still be in the cathode tube era right now having sunk more than Croesus himself into a hulking wreck of a house. So the old tech will have to do for now.

Some time ( probably after repaying debts sometime in the 22nd century ) I will get me one of those HD flat screen jobbies. Hope to have a dedicated room earmarked as a home cinema.

In the meantime, I feel it is worth reminding people that a decent TV of the large traditional variety still gives a damn fine ( non HD ) picture. Looks a little strange bolted to the wall I'll grant you - but you can't have everything.

Not so bad fella !

New job. Too much hard work. Finances like Zimbabwe.

But with a glass of decent Pinot and late night PH the world seems just fine to me !

Thanks for asking chap.
