Panny Plasma now under £400
Discussion
We talk about the cinema effect and this is what most folk will judge that to be: if the effect of blur is there apparent, then it's incidence at any level within the domestic environ is not necessarily the nightmare oft suggested.
Having said that, this in no way excuses the bona fide shocker chassis that do so impact of which we are both painfully aware and which are peddled by the BnL brigade as quality when in fact, they are steaming garbage.
On ward.

Given the price drop looming on the X10...

No but in fact, the best 37" sets are now - believe it or not - LCD and just so happen to be 'Full HD.'
Flippin'ell, DeR!Just when I thought I'd made a decision, absorbed all the 'plasma is best because...' stuff, and was about to get jiggy with the interweb, 37X10 stylie, to your general benefit... this is now not the thing to be doing?!
Or is it (post impending price drop)? I don't need 'Full HD' in the room in question. Just after 37" of the best picture I can get from 'Ordinary HD' transmissions, hence the X10

Grey import, not an official UK model.

Sounds like a UK model to me!
We've been reasonably impressed with a Korean model ito sheer bang/buck but I have to tell you, the furore doesn't warrant not turning Japanese, frankly, even if it meant compromising on size (quite) a bit...
I speak as a PQ addict-realist, however.
As ever, it's the old H Royce doctrine.

60" er's are under £2k now
I bought my 42" PW06 for about 1.5.Just before HD landed.
<--------- Mug
It's now languishing behind the sofa at my mum's house 500 miles away because I can't be arsed to transport it up here, and no bugger wants to buy it, even for 200 quid.

Many - quite rightly - define the demise of Kuro production as a 'Concorde moment.'
The fact remains that the best products cost money and many within the market are mistaking cheapness for value.
My venerable 427XD is still streets ahead of much highly touted, copiously on-paper specified kit...
There's everything to be said for subjective voodoo and some electronic black magic.

I have finally got round to buying a TV.
Went to my local Panasonic Store and bagged a 37X10 with 5 year warranty for £545.00, quite happy with that although probably not the cheapest.
I checked this morning RS wanted £540 with 1 year warranty and didn't have any stock and JL wanted £550. I rang the Panny store, they had one left.
Next question. What wall bracket to go for?

Pay about £35.00 for a flat one but dont buy 'cheap' if you want a swivel type.Went to my local Panasonic Store and bagged a 37X10 with 5 year warranty for £545.00, quite happy with that although probably not the cheapest.

Was the 5 year warranty a Panasonic one or from a 3rd party? Did you buy it befor ethe end of Aug?
